Award FAQs
The EVAs Media Awards (Eliminating Violence Against Women Media Awards) honour journalists for excellence in the reporting of violence against women, in print, television, radio and online media.
Good quality reporting challenges misinformation and damaging stereotypes that tolerate or excuse violence against women. The more awareness there is of this issue, the greater chance we have of reducing the terrible human toll. The EVAs present a forum to recognise, reward and encourage media that accurately report on this issue.
