It is the second year of the EVAs (Eliminating Violence Against Women Media Awards), acknowledging media reporting that contributes to the elimination of family violence and or sexual assault against women.

The EVAs recognise excellence in the reporting of violence against women in print, television, radio and online. The entries with be judged on journalistic merit; with emphasis on public benefit and promotion of community awareness and understanding of violence against women.

Entries for the EVAs (Eliminating Violence Against Women Media Awards) are open to all journalists/organisations for media produced for a Victorian audience between the 9th of December 2009 and the 31st of December 2010.
