What are The EVAs?
The EVAs (Eliminating Violence Against Women Media Awards) acknowledge media reporting that contributes to the elimination of violence against women. The awards recognise excellence in the reporting of family violence and or sexual assault in print, television, radio, photography/artwork and online.
Who is eligible for an EVA?
Entries for The EVAs (Eliminating Violence Against Women Media Awards) are open to all journalists/media organisations for media produced for a Victorian audience between the 1st of December 2009 and the 31st of December 2010.
What are the entry requirements?
All work must be produced for a Victorian audience and published between the 1st of December 2009 and the 31st of December 2010. See Entry Requirements under Awards Criteria page on this website for details of other entry requirements.
Do I have to include an entry statement?
Yes, your entry statement is to assist the judging process and should outline the case for your consideration for the award. You may address the judging criteria and explain the circumstances in which the entry was produced. Entry statements should be a maximum of 250 words.
How many entries can I submit?
An entrant may submit multiple entries in one or more categories, but you must complete a separate nomination form, including all relevant documentation and copies for each entry.
