Entry Requirements
- The EVAs are open to all journalists / media organisations for media produced for a Victorian-inclusive audience.
- Entries are limited to items produced in a media capacity and representing a commercial or independent media individual/body.
- All entries must have been published, posted, broadcast or televised between 1st January 2011 & 31st December 2011.
- All online entries must include evidence of posting date.
- All entries must be original work and comply with copyright requirements.
- All entries must include a declaration from your employer or commissioning company.
- All entries must adhere to the MEAA Code of Ethics.
- The Judges' decision on all awards will be final.
- The winner in each category will be acontender in the overall Gold EVA award.
- All entries must be accompanied by an entry statement (maximum 300 words) outlining the case for consideration of the award. This may address criteria or relevant background information.
- An entrant may submit multiple entries in one or more categories, but you must complete a separate nomination form, including all relevant documentation and copies for each entry.
- An entrant may submit a single entry into up to three entry categories, this must be indicated on one entry form.
- Print entrants should provide 3 high quality hardcopies (to include a full page tear sheet if possible) for each entry, an electronic version on a labelled disc (PDF or Word document); along with your completed entry form and your (max) 300 word statement.
- Photograph / Graphic / Illustration entrants should provide 2 high quality hardcopies (to include a full page tear sheet if possible) of photograph / graphic / illustration and a high-resolution digital file saved on a labelled disc (for printing purposes), along with your completed entry form and your (max) 300 word statement.
- Each broadcast, television and online entry should include 2 clearly labelled CD or DVD copies,bearing the name, address and telephone number of the entrant and 1 transcript, along with your completed entry form and your (max) 300 word statement.
- If original piece is not in English, a translation needs to be provided together with the original as per requirements above.
- The EVA Advisory Committee reserves the right to use all material submitted for use in the awards presentation and to reproduce it for the purposes of promoting the awards.
- Please note that entries and submitted material will not be returned.
- There is no fee for entering the awards.
- All entries must be submitted by the closing date. [Entries for 2012 Awards will open in late 2011.]
