The EVAs award media across one overall and eleven distinct categories developed to reflect the diversity of media and their varying reporting roles and scope.
The overall Gold EVA Award honours the best reporting across all categories and is selected from the eleven category winners. The Gold EVA winner receives a Certificate of Recognition, and $1000. Each specific category winner is awarded a Certificate of Recognition, and $250.
Entry of a Series: A collection of pieces may be entered as a series where all of the following exist: there is specific content relationship between the pieces; all pieces are within the timeframe January 1 2011 to December 31 2011; the Entry Statement speaks to the relationship between the pieces in the series. No more than four pieces may be entered together as a series.
